Valerija Galkina!
If we had to describe Valerija in a few words, we would say she is:

How did Valerija find herself at TRAction?
After university Valerija started her journey in the investment world where she found herself extremely interested in the Regulatory Reporting Framework “as it was a relatively fresh and fast developing field. Getting into FinTech felt very natural as I wanted to implement years of experience in Financial Sector into tech solutions” says Valerija.
She further explains, “TRAction interested me by its motto which resonated with me straight away – Trade Reporting Simplified. I see TRAction as great opportunity for professional growth due to its diverse clientele and consequently the exposure to a wide range of financial products.”
Some of Valerija’s responsibilities…
Valerija assists with ensuring all transaction reporting for our European clients, covering EMIR, STFR and MiFIR, is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements.
What are the most enjoyable aspects of Valerija’s role?
“I enjoy the multicultural environment of the company. Ensuring all Clients’ transactions are reported in a complete, correct and timely manner is a lot of pressure, but I love it! Feeling of immense responsibility and having no room for an error is what really drives me,” says Valerija.
Away from the office…
Valerija keeps herself very busy outside of the office. Her favourite hobby is gardening. “Growing up in the suburbs I have always enjoyed helping out in my family’s garden. As an aftermath of Global Pandemic, my veranda is now officially a full-on kitchen garden,” Valerija tells us.
If given the opportunity to go anywhere in the world, Valerija would…
“Iceland – it is one of the trips that never happened due to Global Pandemic…” says Valerija. Now that the world is opening up again, we hope we all get the opportunity to pursue our postponed pandemic travel plans!
Fun facts about Valerija…
Valerija has many hidden talents and hobbies, “while in high school, I have been attending Art School, taking dance classes and completing my seven-year degree at Music School – they call it FOMO nowadays.” She also speaks four languages, has three degrees in Architecture and plays two musical instruments.
