Meet the Team: Leo

It’s Friday, which means it’s time to meet another member of the TRAction team. Introducing you to…

Leo Li!

If we had to describe Leo in a few words, we would say he is:

  • friendly
  • organised
  • skilful

How did Leo find himself at TRAction?

When Leo was at university, he wished to become a hacker – admiring their ability to type some words into a computer and make magic things happen on the screen. That is why Leo chose to become an IT developer.

“Now, I am not a hacker but still very proud of my job as we are living in an information age – everywhere needs IT and everywhere needs data”, Leo explains.

We are very pleased Leo’s path led him to be a part of the TRAction team.

Some of Leo’s responsibilities…

The core responsibilities for Leo include developing and managing client data related extraction, transformation and loading of data functions and tools in the DEV team. He also provides second level support to both the daily report processing teams in the UK and Australia.

What are the most enjoyable aspects of Leo’s role?

Leo explains, he “very much enjoys dealing with data every day and expanding his knowledge in relation to regulatory reporting. I am pleased to be working alongside a lovely team, they give me lots of support and assistance”.

Away from the office…

Like most of us at the TRAction team, Leo loves to spend time with family. If he has free time Leo enjoys gardening and is an avid DIYer at home.

If given the opportunity to go anywhere in the world, Leo would…

“lots of places, I wish to follow the BBC Earth and National Geographic program’s footpath to travel the world”, responds Leo.

Fun facts about Leo…

Once he had a surprisingly different hobby to his role at TRAction. Leo elaborates, “I was a hiker a few years ago, I very much enjoy the feeling of walking on the wild road and met my wife during the trip”.

To wrap up, what is Leo’s favourite quote and/or advice?

We think Leo’s favourite quote is well-suited to the environment at TRAction:

“Never stop learning”.
